Avocado tea

I am back, hopefully for good.

Life is kicking me in the behind and at the moment, its winning. Who knew juggling work and a life, just a life, no social life, no going out, just home and work would be this complicated???

A few weeks back I received a dreaded e-mail that after 6 years on the current system, we are moving over onto a cloud-based system. For me who has zero computer knowledge this piece of information is useless, but everyone is jumping up and down for joy, even the old people who use the old servers are jumping for joy, like they even know what’s going on.

To me, all it means is that come month end when the old servers are shut down, all that work I have been hiding away and hoping it would just disappear or get archived for me needs to be put on the server. Continuous stock take needs to be taken every week to ensure that the correct inventory is carried over onto the new system.

Endless hours of face-to-face training in places that I didn’t even know existed in Port Elizabeth. Last week I spent 9 hours at Pine lodge, which I didn’t even know existed. All my dad could tell me was that it was just past the golf course. What he failed to mention to me that it was a small sign on the left hand side of the road and the sign telling you where Pine lodge was, was after the turn. Did I get lost? Not really, I did leave a hour before the start of the training session and I just made it with 5 minutes to spare. I may have done a few sharp last minute turns to your left, but I got there in one piece.

Did I mention that I also have 6 books of 252 pages each of training material to go through as well a few videos to watch. I am trying, really trying to get myself into tackling the training material, but when I whip out the book and a highlighter, I am soo tired I just sleep. I seem to be getting 8 – 10 hours of sleep now, gone are the days of 4-5 hours of sleep. The cloud is making me go dream land as soon as I go near it.

My mother’s suggestion was to take vitamin tablets, I am pumping myself full of tablets to no avail, not even coffee is helping me, if anything warm coffee in my belly is aiding the sleeping.

I tried tea, Lord only knows how sick that made me, then when I was taking a 5 hour study break I came across a recipe for avocado tea, the video actually caught my attention. My dad told me straight no, he doesn’t drink funny stuff and my mother told me she is not drinking it, I must drink it myself. She is not my guinea pig.

This tea is supposed to assist in detoxing, so I was game maybe it would take the sleep demon out of me and allow me to at least read past the page of contents.

Verdict, I am not a tea lover, never have been and never will be. I also swear to never again try a tea recipe that I find online. The tea wasn’t that bad, it was just healthy and well not coffee. I forced my mother to drink it and surprise surprise she loved it. She has a cup every week. My dad accidentally emptied out the cup I was keeping his share in. He thought I intended for the cup to be washed. Well played dad well played.
