Classic overnight oats

Classic overnight oats

Every Tuesday and Friday my dad eats a bowl of jungle oats, he just loves eating those oats.

Me well, I hate those oats, if I accidently forget to wash the bowl immediately after my dad finishes eating from it, it becomes a nightmare to clean, especially if he uses a bowl that has a raised patterns on them… NIGHTMARE to clean I tell you, not even elbow grease and steel wool works.

At one stage last year the in thing seemed to be making over night oats and like everyone else I jumped on the bandwagon and decided to try my hand at it.

It is super easy to make BUT

My dad was not that convinced to join the bandwagon and it required a lot of coaxing on my behalf to get him to even try a spoonful of these oats. He complained over and over again that the oats was cold and the next time can’t I just make normal oats.

I ate the remainder of the oats and it was actually really nice and let me tell you cleaning up was a breeze, no elbow grease and no steel wool required.

I didn’t want to break my dad’s heart by telling him, I had a ton more overnight oat recipes that I was planning on making him try out. Oh well let him just think that I have given up on the whole oats business.
