I also heard Ree Drummond talk about Pico de Gallo, over and over again and I kept thinking it was a sauce.
When I finally managed to get hold of her cook book, I came across the recipe for Pic de gallo.
It is actually really really similar to that of patcha chuntey, but it is more tasty and not so strong, so in all honesty I can actually enjoy my meals, instead of drowning it with water because the chillies in the patcha chutney is soo strong
2 x tomatoes, chopped.
1 x onion chopped.
A couple of jalapenos, chopped.
A handful of dhania leaves, roughly chopped.
Salt and pepper to taste.
A good couple of squirts of lime juice… I used the store bought lime juice, you can use fresh if you have limes available.
Add everything to the bowl and toss, so that everything is well mixed and coated with the lime juice.
