This is my mother’s favourite…she could sit and eat this all day long.

Sometimes I add salted nuts to eat and sometimes it is finished eating before I even get to open the packet with the peanuts in.

To make this you will require a morkoo machine… I never knew a machine like this even existed until I started the culinary blog.

I will tell you something, that after Diwali, my one arm muscle is definitely going to be bigger than the other… thanks to all the winding and grinding with this machine.

Ingredients:

4 x cups chana flour.

3 x tsp baking powder.

1 ½ x tsp salt.

1 x tsp sugar.

1 ½ x cups water.

Method:

In bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

Add the water, a little at a time till a nice dough is formed.

Place into the morkoo machine and turn out into a pot with hot oil.

Fry until lightly brown, remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel.

Once cool, break up the rounds, into smaller pieces.
