The year that was 2017

Wow… 2018 has arrived on my door step quicker, than I expected.

Exactly 178 days till I 30, the last 6 months of my 20’s… frightening. But let’s not worry about the future just as yet, let me reflect of what was 2017.

The year started off with me dying to try out the freak shake that was a craze and I finally managed to get my hands on one.

My cook book collection grew. When this year started, I owned books that I had bought at random stores around town, but as the year progressed, I got my hands on books by Nigella, Anna Olson, Mary berry and even some local chef’s Neill Anthony, Zola Nene to name a few and the collection keeps growing, as soon as I learn a little more about a particular chef I just need to get my hands on all their books and their memoir.

I managed to make all the sweetmeats for our family’s Diwali trays, which was super exciting.

I can’t wait to see what 2018 holds in store for my culinary journey.

Keep watching this space.
